How it works: Vbeam Perfecta delivers laser energy through the skin where it is absorbed by the targeted blood vessels that shrink and fade away in response. While some lesions can be treated in one session, sometimes 2-3 sessions will be required for optimal improvement. No anesthetic is required, and most people find the discomfort of the treatment tolerable without even topical anesthetic. Some degree of swelling can be expected for 2-3 days at the treated sites, and scattered bruising can be seen for an average of about 7 days. Results occur over the 4-6 weeks after the treatment, and follow up treatments, if necessary are scheduled 4-6 weeks apart.
Known for his down-to-earth approach and gentle humor, Dr. Contreras has built his reputation on effectively treating patients on their specific needs, and skill using an array of injectable products and laser devices.
